Discover Inner Space Beginner Workshop

February 13, 10:00am - 5:00pm
Parbawatiya Kadampa Buddhist Center, 201 6th Ave S, Safety Harbor
Do you often become overwhelmed with the pace of modern life? Sometimes it feels like there are too many things to think about and too many things to accomplish. Meditation reduces distractions and creates a tranquil inner space in the mind. With this experience of inner space, there is room in your mind to think. You feel rejuvenated, and then you can accomplish all your goals successfully with ease.
Join us in this one-day workshop and take a break from your busy life to relax and unwind. There will be three sessions with breaks for lunch and refreshments Each session consists of guided meditations, chanting, teachings and discussion. This course is designed for beginners.
The course costs $35 ($20 students/limited income) and includes a delicious vegetarian lunch! There is a 10% discount for registering one week early.

Universe in the Palm of your Hand Retreat
March 7 - 13 with Introduction on March 7th at 5:00pm
Buddha explained that the universe is merely a projection of our own mind. A mandala is a universe that appears to a completely pure mind. By meditating on these visualizations we purify our own experience and create the potential to experience these worlds in the future. By mentally ofering the mandala to our Spiritual Guide, we accumulate immeasurable amounts of good fortune and positive energy.
There will be three or four sessions of this practice in each day of the retreat. Feel free to stop by for as many sessions as you wish.
